I recently watched a movie called Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a biographical based on the early life of ‘The Flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh, an Indian track and field sprinter who took the sprinting world by storm in the ’50s and ’60s. He is, according to me, one of the finest heroes the nation has ever produced. ‘Bhaag’ is Hindi for ‘run’, essentially a phrase encouraging Milkha to run.
The movie, was so powerful, I ended up watching it again, two days later. I just had to soak in more of the energy. I hope to write more about the movie soon; soon as I can calm my head from the overwhelming impact of the life of the legend. Milkha Singh’s hard-to-imagine life and his resolve to overcome challenges of unimaginable proportions. A true inspiration.
Anyway, for now, I’ll leave you with this short prayer used in the movie, that is really relaxing to listen to, and has a simple meaning as well.
And yes, I strongly urge you to do whatever it takes to watch the movie. It will change your perspective of life, I assure you that.
